Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your Taskry NE account and personal data at any time. Email taskryne@gmail.com from your registered number, or use the in-app Delete Account option where available. This page explains what is deleted, what we must keep for legal and tax compliance, and how long it takes (within 30 days).

1. Your Right to Delete Your Account

You can ask Taskry NE to delete your account and the personal data linked to it at any time. This page explains, in plain language, how to make that request, exactly what gets deleted, what we are legally required to keep, and how long the process takes. This applies to all users of Taskry NE — customers who book home services, technicians, and partners. Taskry NE is operated by WENSLink Private Limited (CIN: U80900AS2019PTC019435).

2. How to Request Deletion

You can request account and data deletion in either of these ways: By email (available to everyone): - Send an email to taskryne@gmail.com from your registered email address, OR include the mobile number registered with your Taskry NE account in the message. - Use the subject line: "Delete my account". - We use your registered mobile number to locate your account, so please make sure it is included. We may send a one-time confirmation to that number (via WhatsApp or SMS) to verify the request genuinely comes from you, before any data is deleted. In the app (if available on your version): - Open the app, go to Settings → Account, and choose "Delete Account". - Confirm when prompted. This sends the same deletion request directly from your verified, logged-in session. There is no charge for requesting deletion.

3. What Data Is Deleted

Once your request is verified, we permanently delete the personal data we hold about you that is no longer required by law. This includes: - Your profile details: name, mobile number, email address, and residential/service address. - Your login and authentication data, including OTP records and any saved app PIN or biometric (passkey) credentials. - KYC documents and verification data uploaded by technicians (e.g. Aadhaar/Voter ID images and related verification results). - Saved locations, GPS coordinates, and address book entries. - Bank account / payout details held for technicians and partners (beyond what tax law requires us to retain — see Section 4). - Marketing and communication preferences, and your WhatsApp conversation metadata that is past its retention window. - Your Taskry coins balance, referral links, and any other reward or loyalty data, which are forfeited on deletion. After deletion, your account can no longer be accessed or recovered, and you will need to register again as a new user if you wish to use Taskry NE in the future.

4. What Is Retained, and Why

Indian law requires every business to keep certain financial and transaction records even after a customer leaves. For this reason, a limited set of data is retained after your account is deleted. We keep only what the law requires, for only as long as the law requires, and we do not use it for any other purpose. We retain: - Invoices, receipts, and tax records (including GST records): Retained for the period required under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) law, the Income Tax Act, and the Companies Act, 2013 — generally up to 8 years. This is a legal obligation we cannot waive. - Commission and payout records for technicians and partners: Retained for accounting, audit, and tax-compliance purposes for the same statutory period. - Records needed for an ongoing or anticipated legal case, dispute, fraud investigation, or regulatory request: Retained until that matter is fully and lawfully resolved. Wherever possible, retained records are minimised and, where feasible, de-identified so they can no longer be linked back to you as a living individual. These records are kept securely and are not used for marketing, profiling, or any active service.

5. How Long It Takes

We action verified deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them. - We will acknowledge your request promptly after we receive and verify it. - Active personal data is deleted from our live systems within this 30-day window. - Data held in encrypted backups is removed on our normal backup rotation cycle shortly afterwards, and is not restored to live systems in the meantime. - Records we are legally required to keep (see Section 4) are retained only for the statutory period and then securely deleted. If we are unable to complete your request — for example, because we need more information to verify your identity — we will contact you to explain why.
